This 2,218-guest ship marked the debut of Celebrity Cruises' Millennium class in 2000, meaning it’s now it the oldest ship in the cruise line’s fleet. Celebrity Millennium made waves for its cutting-edge, contemporary design, which included a 25,000-square-foot spa that is one of the largest and loveliest at sea. The whole ship is sleek and stylish and refurbishments, including a 2019 revitalization called the Celebrity Revolution that added elements found on newer Solstice- and Edge-class vessels, have kept the look clean and modern. The ship also features nine dining venues, six of which are complimentary.
What We Love
Incredible Design: This ship is decked out in contemporary furnishings and includes a museum-quality art collection. Even the glass elevators have ocean views.
The Sunset Bar: This aft outdoor lounge, while not as chic as the ones on Edge-Series ships, is still one of the top spots to enjoy a cocktail as Celebrity Millennium slips away from port.
Best Known For
The Solarium: This adults-only indoor pool on all Celebrity ships is a calm retreat no matter what the weather.
The Retreat: First rolled out on Edge Series ships, The Retreat is a suite concept that includes exclusive spaces — The Retreat Sundeck, The Retreat Lounge, and Luminae at The Retreat (a private restaurant — reserved just for guests who book a suite-class accommodation.
Nice Staterooms: More than half of Celebrity Millennium’s cabins have ocean views and balconies. For those looking to upgrade, the penthouse suites, at 1,432 square feet, are some of the largest at sea.
Who It's Good For
Middle-Age Couples: Although there are kids and teens clubs on board, this is a ship best suited for couples ages 40 and older who are looking for nice dinners, maybe some dancing, and a relaxing time together.
Don't Say We Didn't Warn You
Expect Crowds: You'll find many cushy, intimate spaces, but this is still a big ship with plenty of people on board — and that's noticeable at times.
